Eleanor is a beautiful person. She is a caring and compassionate woman who has a kind word for everyone she meets. She is a great friend and a joy to be around. She has done so much for Smyth County through the years. She participates in many civic organizations, church, and activities with her friends and family. Many projects in the county would never have been accomplished without Eleanor’s energy and drive.
Eleanor coordinated the grand opening of the new tourism center. She called on her vast network of friends throughout the community to make sure everything was perfect, coordinating music, a choir, food & refreshments, and sundry items. Smyth County can be proud of Ms. Eleanor Walker Jones, one of the Virginia Mountains Most Beautiful People.
