Janice Orr is truly one of the Most Beautiful People in the Virginia Mountains. She is an unselfish, hard-working woman who strives to do her best to help others, and she never seeks personal publicity, credit, or praise for these deeds.
When the Museum of the Middle Appalachians’ (MOMA) leader, Helen Barbrow, died while in the midst of working on one of the museum’s major projects, Janice quietly stepped in and spent many days and nights working unselfishly and diligently to make her friend Helen’s dreams and goals become a reality. Thanks to Janice’s year of hard work and dedication, MOMA now has an impressive new exhibit room which tourists are visiting and enjoying daily.
Janice receives no pay for her work, asks for no praise, and will not even accept a title for herself. She simply does the job because it needs to be done. She is definitely one the Virginia Mountains’ Most Beautiful People.
