Mrs. Joy gives so much to the community. She is active in the Red Hats Society and volunteers with income tax assistance for the county. Always wearing a smile and willing to help anyone in need, she is a young 60-something who can do more work than most 30-year-olds. Her love of life and for helping people shows every day in her face. Joy may be seen working on income taxes one day and off on a road trip the next. She lives life to the fullest and is a great inspiration to everyone she comes into contact with.
Joy also pitched in as a volunteer coordinator for the new tourism center when it opened. She involved her husband, Bud, and her sister, Paige DeBord, to help staff the center, assist with special events, projects, and tours, and they all became community liaisons for the center. Joy’s contributions to her community are outstanding.
